Synlogic is a biopharmaceutical company focusing on discovering and developing synthetic biotic medicines to treat metabolic, inflammatory, and cancer diseases.

Not long after we completed their facility on the MITIMCo campus at 130 Brookline Street, Synlogic’s rapid growth required expansion into another building on the nearby Sidney Research Campus. Housing the main biology lab, along with a tissue culture and a fermentation lab, the new space is open and filled with natural light. The finishes are soft and neutral, accented with energizing pops of color.

The reception area has a double reception desk with a floating cloud above to create an intimate feel. It opens to low-partition workstations surrounded by an executive area, a large conference room, a breakout lounge, and huddle pods.

The labs open out into an expansive office area that supports both integrated and flexible use. A break room serves as a focal meeting place. Accent wall colors like Moroccan blue, saffron yellow, Tesla red, and amethyst set the private offices apart.
