Hengyue has over seven years of design experience, including a range of institutional, lab and office spaces. A driving force behind his design is curiosity and desire to understand how things come together. His inspiration to pursue architecture is rooted back to his childhood interest of building LEGO sets then immediately modifying them to see how he could make them “better.” This early fascination with space, structure, and how things fit together began a lifelong interest in advancing his design knowledge. He continues expanding his perspective when attending public lectures held by institutions like Harvard and BAC, hearing from designers, scholars, and practitioners across disciplines to always spark new ideas.
Outside of work, Hengyue values activities and hobbies that recharge him, including being outdoors, snowboarding, photography, or just catching up with friends over coffee.
