UniQure is recognized for developing the world’s first approved gene therapy, operating the first commercially licensed gene therapy manufacturing facility. Headquartered in the Netherlands, UniQure also maintains a growing presence in North America, including a key facility in Lexington, Massachusetts.

The 13,000 SF suite at 91 Hartwell Avenue presented two primary opportunities: to establish a new facility that aligns with the culture of the European headquarters, and to reimagine the workplace experience to encourage employees to return to the office. While scientists continued working in the on-site R&D labs, much of the office staff had shifted to remote work, making it essential to create a space that encourages collaboration, while also supporting individual focus and flexibility.
